Can I add to frozen curry in freezer?

Hey all
I have just made a chickpea and pea curry but have leftovers. I already have a small amount of the same receipe curry in the freezer which is in a big container. Can I add todays leftover's to this? I would wait for it to cool completely first before adding to it.
Or should I freeze it separately?
TIA

I'd leave it to cool, refrigerate, put it on the top of the already frozen stuff and fast freeze. As long as there is no meat or stock in the recipe, the risk of catching anything is tiny.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Thanks all. I let it cool fully then added to the original frozen one. I have a smallish freezer and didnt want to loose space by adding another tub of stuff!
I don't think the chickpeas will kill me off (finger's crossed!)
