i remember as a child in the 1970s / early 80s there was a shop that sold everything loose (rice, cornflakes etc etc), you filled up your container with the scoops and paid for the amount you wanted?
are there still any shops like this?
a friend linked me to unpackaged.com but this looks a bit fancy / pricey.
