Hi Pot O Gold. Nah not been over there, am just trying to cut back a bit as been going overboard a bit lately. Not a big drinker normally :) thanks for the thought though  (actually that is not the best smilie to use is it! )

Nothing so far and I have my lunch with me. I'm going to the gym tonight and then on to my book club social so a couple of diet cokes/lime & soda should be all I buy as there is going to be a free buffet!

I'm off work today feeling ropey and needing to be near a toilet for short-notice calls! So shouldn't spend much! Need to chance walking to the post box to post 2 letters (including a bday card for a friend I got 4 for £1 in a pound shop). I have washed our bedding and hung it on the line, and rung Anglia Water who sent us a statement today saying we are owed £102 credit, so they have agreed to send us a cheque for that and reduce our monthly payments to £17. Getting our meter was the best thing we did :)

I will prob just lounge about feeling sorry for myself reading library books today.

Hope everyone else is having a better day!

    Well done CCK :)
Hope you feel better soon Sarah (been there, alas) and big hugs to Looking Ahead (if you look in on here today) for your rough luck.

    So far I've spent
    £6.65 Prescription
    £1.00 Toothpaste and brush
    £5.68 painkillers
£2.00 carparking (arrived just in time for evening rate - I felt very proud of being DFW with my tardiness!)
£3.00 for tea - loads of eateries at first glance, but a lot closed at the end of the shopping day, so I ended up at Subway
    £1.45 for a drink
£16.23 for petrol - at an apalling rate because I was going in the wrong direction from all my price checked garages
    297 Boots points on toothpaste

It will get worse though as I'm off to Wolvs for a gig tonight - gig is paid for, parking and moochifying in the city is not...

Nothing yet, although I have to get a £1 postal order and send a letter by recorded delivery (telling Cabot Finance to get stuffed and prove I owe them the debt when it was a joint loan with exDH and he keeps writing to them to tell them he is willing to pay it)

  • Hi everyone
It's 11.25 and I haven't spent anything today as yet but know I'll be spending £4 later.
Yesterday I went the full day without spending any money, do you know that was the first day I've ever managed to do it :D I have to take each day as it comes as an emotional spendaholic I can't see beyond a day at a time. Reading all the posts on the forums gives me so much inspiration and makes me feel ashamed that I don't manage to do it more :o

Last night I nearly spent £20. I was at the gym (get it free - perk from work!) and they are doing a special promotion on one-to-one personal training £20 for five hours. Well I registered and was handing over the £20 to the receptionist and I wouldn't let go :rotfl: She looked at me in a strange way and started tugging the note. I kept thinking - do I really need this - in the end I said I'd changed my mind so she let go of the money and I quickly put it back in my pocket :T I went over to the treadmill, ran a 5k personal best time :j See didn't and don't need no personal trainer :rotfl:

    wanna-be-mortgage-free - well done you :T :T :T

So far nothing spent. I do have lunch with me but...I need to go into town lunchtime to go to Wilkinsons. Should be able to keep it below £5 though.
