How much to offer?

I have a debt of £2400 with link financial which i pay £1 a month at the moment, if i were to make an offer of F&F settlement what would be a good opening offer?
They've had the debt for around 3 years.

Hi jesthar, it was for an MBNA credit card, they do have a valid cca ive already checked but i was told these companies [link financial] are more likely to accept an offer.

OK, no real advice myself (never had to do this!) apart from start low and increase gradually, fighting every step of the way and never giving them an indication of how much you could afford - and keep paying the £1 a month in the meantime. Others will probably have some more comprehensive advice!

I think an offer of £500 may be about right.
Have you reclaimed any charges on this?

It would take you over 30 years to pay off £500 at £1pm so you may want to start a bit lower and work up to that, but only if you can afford it.
