Northern Rock

Hi,

I want to propose to NR a reduction in my monthly mortgage because of financial difficulties.

How amenable are they and are they helpful.

I was thinking of paying 1k instead of £1400 per month and wonder whether they would accept a £400 reduction in mortgage payments.

    Hi Desmonds

It is worth ringing them but have you got a morgage that allows a holiday period? We have a Together Mortgage with them and I think we are allowed 3 months holiday every year (not 100% sure) but a payment holiday might help you out a lot more than reducing the payments.

    Good luck.
