BR What happens now??

I went BR on 19th August,I feel a big weight off my shoulders, but also feel numb, and a bit degraded, I suspect this is quite normal.
I had a call from OR 2 days later informing me they were sending me some forms, (NTB2, TNIDIS, Ethnic monitoring form) she also requested copies of my car documents (tax, MOT, insurance, Log book) the car is valued at £2500. What are the chances of me losing the car. I am a single mum, i use the car to take child to school, and to get to work.
What happens now, My bank account is still active, but i am not using it, credit companies still getting in contact with me. I understand that things take time, but does anyone now what the next stage is, i feel like im in limbo at the moment, have no idea what happens now or when.
Thanks

Welcome PP, I am not an expert so my answers are a generalisation. From what I've read the car is a difficult one to 'guess' and the OR does give consideration as it's necessary for work, they may take it and give you ££ to get something cheaper or let you keep it. With regards to your bank account make alternative arrangements with the bankrupt friendly banks namely Barclays and Co-op. It can take a while for OR to contact all your creditors so if you're getting calls quote you BR number and refer them to your OR, the letters you can hold on to and when you have interview ask OR if they want them forwarded. All the best.2019 MFW No. 74 £13700/£30000 (45.66%)
12k in 2018 No. 98 £6274.19/£18000 (34.85%)
BTL (start) £97440.00 (current) £68000.00
Residential (start) £275000.00 (current) £268000.000 -
Sorry, another question.
When can i expect my interview with the OR. Had a brief chat 2 days after BR but this wasnt an interview i dont think, cant remember them asking me any questions.0 -
Usually around 2 weeks after BR, but have seen 4 weeks as they are busy.
Have they sent you the pack? Was there any letters at the top of the letter?BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
I went BR on the 24th August, just had interveiw this morning, I recieve the forms in the post with an interveiw date , I guess it depends on how busy they are, I have a coop cashminder account that I use now, I have touched any old acounts, had a few calls from creditors just told them my bankruptcy details and the call have stopped for now. Hopefully you will get your date soon , take care!0

The pack???
I received a letter telling me my responsibilities as a BR, the forms mentioned above and a the insolvency service charter booklet, Is this the pack you are refering too.0 -
Yep thats the "pack"We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0
-
So now i have received "the pack" is it just a case of waiting to hear from OR about having an interview.0
-
It will be yes.
I went BR the same day as you and had my interview yesterday. If your area is really busy they may take a wee bit longer though. I would leave it a couple more weeks and then you could always give them a call?0 -
Thanks so much to all of you for helping me clearing up my confusion.
This site is fabbbbbbbbbbbbb
Thanks0 -

Hi PP,
We went BR same day as you, got info pack last week and had interview yesterday.
They do want our car (3300 approx value) but are allowing £1000 back to us for another car. Just got to wait to hear from car company. I want to ask them if we can buy it back providing I can secure funds from parents. Hopefully they will exempt your car but even if they dont, considering you need it for work im guessing they will allow a replacement.
Try not to worry, the interview was nerve wracking for me but OR was helpful and seemed understanding. Know what you mean about the 'degraded' feeling. I feel quite ashamed and feel like everyone knows about it!! (only close family know so far) Im not sure whether to tell other friends or not yet, cross that bridge when I come to it.0
