interview panic

I have my interview at 9, not ideal really been awake all night up since 6.30 getting three children sorted for school , OH coming off night shift at 9.30 and my 3 year old doesnt go to nursery untill OH gets back.
So I feel sick and stressed, then I had a panic that I wasnt supposed to put my mortgage and secured loan down as secured creditors, I have but would like to stay in my house and continue to pay them, was I right?
Does putting it down mean you are including them in the BR? i hope they havent contacted them as I am not behind on payments.
I will try and stay calm lol

  • Hi TGL

Calm down hun...get a cuppa ready, a pen & paper to make notes & take deep breaths. Try not to waffle....the call will pass quicker then:D:D

As regards the house & SL thats something you can discuss with the OR.

    Good luck,

No, but you do have to list them if they are joint loans. I think they would only be included in your BR in your house was repossed and there was a shortfall.

Not sure if my OR has even contacted my mortgage company (and I haven't told them!).

  • Hi , thanks all!!
all over now, thank goodness, quite short really, not as bad as I thought too, was asked about our situation and reasons I just answered honestly. HE said they will just sit out 3 years to see if there is any equity in our house but it is unlikely that there will be so , the beneficial interest will go back to us. Hopefully we might get offered to buy the BI, we can buy back insurance policies for £50 ,and get to keep the banger as OH needs for work.
OH seemed to be on Phone longer , was told about nil tax code and not to spend a rebate , asked about any large purchases and when last credit taken out, amongst other things.
Feel better that part is over for now! Now for a hours peace while all the kids are out!

OR will send standard letters to any mortgage or secured loan company, various questions, date taken out, monthly repayments, if in arrears, amount outstanding, etc.

Thanks to hangingbyathread for making me include myself in the above xx
  • The majority of people will get a phone interview, there are a few who will have a face to face interview. These are usually business BR or people with complicated cases.

One or the other or both, or niether:p

it depends, most OR's do phone interviews, unless the case is complicated.

Liverpool, for some reason seems to do more face to face, for no apperant reason.

You may get a face to face just because the examinor has not done one, and needs to do one to tick a box to say he/she has done one.

Or you may not get an interviw at all, if your case is simple.............
