Opportunity to work in Greece for six months, pay Greek tax?

Options
Evening all,

I have the opportunity to apply to work in Greece for a minimum of six months starting at the beginning of October.

I've had a brief look at the Greek income tax situation and it looks broadly similar to ours in the UK, but with more bands. Top rate still 40%. Does anyone know if I'd be eligible to pay Greek tax rather than UK tax?

Apologies if this has been covered a million times, but I couldn't find anything relevant in the sticky at the top of this board.

Kind regards.

I will wait for a Greek tax expert to come along and advise you on Greek tax, but meanwhile, I can tell you that you will be liable to UK tax on your Greek earnngs as yu will remian resident in the UK. You will get credit for any Greek tax paid under the DTA.
