in Cutting tax
Hello all, sorry if I sound stupid I'm just so confused! If I work out the hours and my pay, it would be £5.75 * 62.25 hours. Which would mean £357.94.
Yet, I have been paid £410.88?
Ok, here's my info:
Tax code 647L
Hourly pay £5.75
Hours worked 62.25 (over 2 weeks)
PAYE tax -£78
NI £15.06
So, why have I been paid £410?

it looks a bit like you have had a tax refund although I can't get the numbers to add up exactly... it looks like you should have received 4200

You have a minus in front of your tax so that denotes that you have had a tax refund.
and yes, i get it that it should be £420.88
£357.94 minus ni = £342.88 plus tax refund = £420.88
Enjoy :j:j:jmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Thanks
Yeah, £10 was taken for uniform.
Why would I have been refunded, will I just be getting the 357 after this pay (if I work the same)?0 -
if you look at your previous payslip (i.e. the one before last) and say
total pay to date
total tax to date
week number
tax code
and the figures for the last payslip then it might be possible to say0
