Any car hire discount codes please?

I've seen cashback via uidco for various car cire places, such as Hertz etc, but wondered if there are extra discount codes available as all the ones I've seen are out of date.

Also, we are having to hire a car as ours was damaged in an accident on Friday and our insurance have yet to sort it out/offer a courtessy car etc. Is there any chance of claiming the car rental price back? We're with E Car by the way.

i used quidco for hertz, and also got a 15% student discount on top. when i collected the car they didn't ask for any kind of ID, and the invoice didn't state that i had purchased it as a student, so i don't see how they could've known. in the discount/cdp/club code box on the hertz website, you'll need to enter code number 707296.

whether you're covered depends on your insurance, and where fault lies for the accident (hopefully not with you ).

one point worth remembering is depending on the type of offer/cdp code your hire price may or may not include other features of the hire i.e. 10% discount off hire price may mean that you do not qualify for driver insurance, free additional driver etc that may be inclusive for some one not using the offer code. I found this out quite recently when playing around with codes on Hertz online
