Don't know if this is quick but went to the court today to see if our £150 court fee would be waivered (which it was) and they have booked us in the Tuesday next week the 8th!!:eek::eek::eek: I thought it would take at least a month if not two!! (is this quick or the norm??)
Now can someone please let me know should we open a co-op account tomorrow as our Lloyds TSB a/c will be I imagine frozen for how long ..... (luckily we are not getting any money until the 26th of the month or would it be ok to just keep the Lloyds as we are getting no money until the 26th??
If that made sense good if not let me know!

Hi,
Sometimes courts can operate that quick. Start filling in your forms!
There's no harm in opening a Co-Op account now if you have money & direct debits to transfer over. Just remember to cancel the DD for any debts that are going into your br.
Co-op accts usually take a few days to open anyway.
Good luck next week.BSC 289A life lived in fear is a life not living!Proud to have dealt with my debts.0 -
Dont panic - It's not as bad as you may think (read the thread I posted a couple of minutes ago!)
The OR office rang me 2 hours after I was declared BR and asked if there was a bank account i'd like to keep open!! I was gobsmacked but I said "yes please, my co-op cashminder". She said ok thats fine, that should be ok! Great! She told me to let my bank know about the BR which I did straight away and they just said " oh ok thats fine no problem - if you have a cashminder account you dont have a lending account anyway so it's no probs!"
This was Sheffield OR office by the way, so I guess they all may vary in their way of doing things!0 -
thanks for your replies guess no harm in opening a co-op one as i am sure lloyds will close this one i have!0
