I am a higher rate tax payer, but as yet have never been asked to complete a tax return.
How do I go about claiming the 40% (well additional 20%) tax relief on my pension?
Any advice welcomed - tax can be so confusing. Or can any one advise best place to get this advice ?
Thanks

You need to self assess for each year the relief is due. Ring your tax office and ask to be put on to the system.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0

presumably you are paying into a private pension being paid out of taxed income rather than occupational pension paid from gross income.0
