Pension Tax Relief

Options
I am a higher rate tax payer, but as yet have never been asked to complete a tax return.
How do I go about claiming the 40% (well additional 20%) tax relief on my pension?

Any advice welcomed - tax can be so confusing. Or can any one advise best place to get this advice ?

Thanks

You need to self assess for each year the relief is due. Ring your tax office and ask to be put on to the system.

presumably you are paying into a private pension being paid out of taxed income rather than occupational pension paid from gross income.
