Wednesday 2/9/09 - What small DFW things have you done today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important

Good morning:hello:
That was me back at work yesterday and it felt like i'd never been away:rolleyes: But, day off today - I don't work wednesdays now as I'm going toUni in a few weeks (on a wed). So, I'm going to drop my youngest at school then go to Tesco - it'll be the earliest I've ever been there I think:p
So, list for today:

Hi everyone - thanks Fay for the info re M and S.:A I have just taken your advice and ordered T some shirts for school. ( He starts 2 weeks today

)
I have been trying to make the most of my work and child free morning by completing a job application form. Not my dream job, but a step up the payscale and a couple more hours a week than I do at the moment. The application form is rapidly making me lose my will to live though, so I shall be very glad when it is done. Whatever happened to the days of sending your CV and a covering letter? These days it takes days and days to fill these things in!
DFW
1) Stop moaning and finish form.
2) SC x 10p
3) Store meals
4) Sent B to cinema with friend using orange Wednesday
5) Checked banking, quidco etc
6) Received free Lego mag for T who will be very chuffed
7) Sorted out new hours with childminder who has kindly offered to take T to school when he starts. ( He is only going afternoons til November. Can't wait til I no longer have to pay childcare and can throw this money at the CC each week!)
8) Frozen pizza for tea as B has a friend for a girly sleepover. Methinks the Twilight DVD will get it's umpteenth airing!
Not much, but it'll do!
