  • Hi,

I bought the equivalent recently in Asda for a scar after my op, its called Re-Gen Oil, 75ml for £3.80ish

I checked through all the ingredients and they're exactly the same as Bio Oil, seems to be doing the trick so far :)

Are you sure? the oil used in Bio oil (PurCellin Oil) is a trademark of Bio oil- its what makes the product work. I am a little taken a back that Asda are allowed to use it if its only created by and for Bio oil products:confused:

You'll find PurCellin oil in pet shops and on the pet aisle of many supermarkets.

It's a primary constituent of BIRD BATH SPRAY - along with vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E and other goodies like lanolin and aloe - just like the contents of Bio Oil.

Purcellin oil is PREEN OIL, as made in the preen glands of many birds, especially ducks.

It will cleanse oil sacs, tighten feathers, soften and beautify plumage.
Furthermore it helps relieve dry, itchy skin, remove scales, and prevent excessive molting.

Perfect for the older bird :rotfl:

Could be a more cost effective method of obtaining it given Bird Bath Spray is unlikely to have attracted the "high cost" price tag of "wonder products" from the cosmetic industry.
