UNI - does it affect remortgaging?

My ex signed the house over to me and signed all the divorce papers. Now he wants more money from me and has lodged a UN1 - Unilateral Notice of Interest - with the Land Registry. They won't take the UN1 off. Does anyone have any experience of applying for a mortgage with a Notice of Interest lodged with the Land Registry? I need to remortgage but he could block it.

I would seek legal advice on this matter.

As far as I am aware, you may get questions being asked by your new lender, what bearing that will have I guess will depend on the individual lender.
