Hi all,
I'm going through Hell will my Ex Partner, some time ago we co-signed on some properties, But now when she left me, she has told me that she will Re-Mortgage these properties While I'm away on Holiday !?
Is there anyway I can stop her from Forging my signature ?, and How would I be able to find this out if they had done it anyway ?? and how could I even prove that this was against my wishes if the signature is a good copy ?
I am living in with my Daughter in one of those homes that have been co-signed and the law courts state that she must be allowed to her gain her Post ?
Thanks in Advance ?

Are both properties in joint names?
Not just hers?
Are they both mortgaged?
If both are mortgaged then contact your mortgage lenders and ask them to make a note that there is currently a marital dispute and that if anything is requested by the other named party that would like to receive notification/copy. Ensure that they know to send all communication to your address and make sure they have correct details on file.
Make sure you sign up for monthly updates on your credit file to make sure that nothing is being obtained by your ex in your name.
Also look at protective registration with CIFAS

If you have access to a legal helpline with your buildings and contents insurance then give them a call and speak to them about the threat that your ex is making to remortgage the properties while you are on holiday. If you don't have access to legal helpline that way then try community legal advice http://www.communitylegaladvice.org.uk/
I suspect that your ex is blowing hot air!I am a Mortgage Adviser

You can get a solicitor to put a caution on at the land registry that there is a marital dispute. Check out over here www.ondivorce.co.ukMama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0
