in Cutting tax
My lads off to uni next week doing the third year of a three years course.
He's been working for the last 18 months and since April this year has earned £5800 and has a tax code of 647L. He's been stopped just over £600 tax in this tax year.
Now, I know you used to be able to get the tax back right away (as he won't be working again until he's finished the course next July). But is that still the case ? Or do you have to wait until the next tax year before they'll look at a refund ??
Thanks.
