Hello every1.
Firstly a big thanks to everyone who has helped me with advice over the last year from when my oh & I were told BR was our best option to now.
Just had my interview so I thought I'd let you know the outcome of a few things.
Child Benefit was excluded from IPA calculations.
Car was allowed (on HP anyway) but as I am a Carer & paid by the government as such (Carer's Allowance) the car is required as vocational circumstances so automatically exempt. However I don't know if it would have been allowed if it was owned outright & had any value. (As in to sell & buy cheaper)
Asked for OH total salary and what benefits if any are in jt names. Said all benefits are looked on as income for his SOA although they are not deeemed for IPA purposes. So he may get one based on my figures... HIs int is tom.
Not allowed pet ins @ 20, pressies & xmas @ 20.
Said food @ 500, clothing @ 40 was low for family of 2 a & 2 c and will put all figures into calculator and let me know.
Had to close one of my Co-op accts as only allowed 1 acct when br. After Dis can have as many as you wish.
Did question horse as I have a vet bill that's gone in. But accepted her age and that she's been out on loan for two years but I only pay ins.
Kids still asleep so went well. :T
Now where's that bottle of wine!

Well done miss spooky what a relief you must feel. Can I ask have they allowed you to keep the car HP payments in your soa? Wonder why they didn't allow your pet insurance, how very strange.
Again well done, me thinks you deserve that glass of wine!!!

That must be a relief to have that over with, mine is tomorrow and i'm very nervous.. I don't know why because I can explain every thing. Must just be because i'm going to be interogated or feel like I am.
Phew for you now thats over with0 -
Hi Lazie30,
I pay 183 every 4 weeks (that's what I arranged with HP co) for the car.
I did feel like that, even got some dates wrong like when I started co habitating. Was only out by 2 yrs - luckily oh don't read these!!BSC 289A life lived in fear is a life not living!Proud to have dealt with my debts.0 -
Glad its over for you, what a relief, mine tomorrow so your experience has helped me, thankyou.
Enjoy that wine !!0 -
So are you saying they didn't allow your pet insurance but allowed horse insurance? Please let us know the figures for housekeeping and clothing when she gets back to you. I would have thought £600 for housekeeping for a family of 4.

lets just hope she doesent look to closely at that income calculator when she does it as the new one has a specific mention of including Child benefit like all other benefitsHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

FYP, I had pet ins & special diet down for £20.00 but forgot to mention that it was for my 2 cats. Though I pay the horse ins it has lapsed & I haven't renewed it yet which is what I told him. Suppose he thought the pet ins was for horse. My OH has int tom so can clear that up.
Debtinfo, when I did my calculations CB was included, so if you exclude it I would be -£152+ I thought they just excluded it for IPA purposes, though he did say that ALL benefits are deemed not to be accepted for payments towards creditors... Maybe different OR's use different discretions?
I'll let you know what they amend my figures to.BSC 289A life lived in fear is a life not living!Proud to have dealt with my debts.0
