Where can I buy Enamel Cookware...

Options
......You know the kind white with the blue pin strip round the edges. Our local hardware store stocks some but they are extortionate!!!! I am sure there must be somewhere cheaper. I use to have a few but DD1 borrowed them when she went to uni - left them in the fridge too long with food in them and decided to bin them rather than just the minging food! I had had them for over twenty years I found them great for pies, crumbles, bread and butter puddings etc.
Could do with probably couple of the round ones for pies, and also the deeper oblong ones for everything else.
Cheers
Suz

If I remember rightly Lakeland Limited have them and they're on offer at the mo!
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.
  • esmf73 has a good memory, Lakeland have a lovely range of enamel cookware at the mo :)

Many thanks - will check out the prices and compare. I always think pies/ crumbles etc turn out better in these compared to glass or porcelain - plus it reminds me on when we were young!! These dishes were used for everything from the christmas trifle to being used for bathing any cuts and bruises!!!! not very health and safety conscious compared to today but hey-ho we survived!!!

Many thanks for all your replies - unfortunately we dont have any poundland, boyes or wilkinsons up here in our local town or nearest cities - we are very limited with discount stores.Hopefully our woolworths is getting made into a factory shop - not that I know much about them but its always a start- Will check out ebay and compare that against the special offer in Lakeland and the next time I am somewhere that has a Matalan will have a look there too.
    cheers
