  • Hi pickle, the way I would look at your bits you need to buy for your nail course is to think of the money you will earn from using them with potential clients once you are qualified. And just think how popular you will be amongst your friends! Anyone for a manicure! Seriously, good luck with that and take care

Wasn't intending to post but just went on Ebay and bought loads of stuff for the course, and it doesn't seem to have gone through Quidco. Grr! (I forgot to sign into Quidco for the first one, which is a pity as it was by far the most expensive, but the others don't seem to have tracked. D'oh and grr!

Didn't know you were doing a course, elantan: am supposed to be doing a girl from work for cost price on Thursday, but need to get hold of some more false nails first, so will let you know. x

Personally I've always found the Quidco payments for eBay to be about as much use as a poke in the eye. Case in point - my 4p payment for this month ;)

Quidc is often hit and miss...sometimes mine go on quick and other times they take ages.

Quidco has tracked the Ebay stuff: I get about £1 back for over £100 spent! :rotfl: Ah well, I guess it's still better than nothing!

True. The only thing is when you have spent as many pounds as I have this past week, it soon adds up the other way! ;)

    Hi all.

Right, I'm back. I've been a bit rubbish on posting lately as there has been little to report and that which has to be reported is not good. I think I've reached an MSE impasse.

The nail course started again a couple of weeks ago, and has robbed me blind ever since. :( I've been trying to keep such a tight handle on the finances, and it just hasn't been working cos I've had to spend such a large amount of cash of materials: £151.93 at the last count, and that is after some SERIOUS bargain hunting. Put it this way: I paid £20 for a good UV lamp off Ebay when most people on my course paid £99 + VAT at the wholesalers. And then there was all the other stuff I needed...

Next month my car insurance and MOT are due. I'm not sure how much the insurance will be yet as I need to look it all up [SNIP]

EDIT: am currently looking up insurance and it seems that my premiums will be considerably less than the £502 () my old broker quoted me. *Phew* :D

There's more I need to say, but I have to wash my hair and scuttle off to work. I hadn't been planning on looking up car insurance quotes, but it just happened as I started writing about them, and it took up my available chat time.

    See ya later, peeps! *Waves*
