After all the aniticpation the bids are in and I sold...£20 worth! :rotfl:
I sold 5 things, none for an extortionate amount of cash, but it's 5 less things cluttering up my life (one of which was quite bulky, so I'm really glad to be rid of that one) and a bit of money to put into savings. Also, there's a 6th that I was describing to a colleague at work who is thinking of buying it. If she takes it, it's another bulky thing out of my room and an extra £10 my way. (Won't see her til Thursday, but have e-mailed her pictures. I think she'll like it).
I have two expensive pairs of shoes that I can't wait to be rid of, which are taking up a lot of space. I don't seem to be having a lot of luck, so I was thinking of trying Gumtree. I've never sold on there before, but have heard a bit about it on this site. Have any of you guys tried selling on it? Any tips?
Also, my laptop battery has died.I was asking the tech guys on here for advice, cos a replacement from the manufacturers will set me back a whopping £129.89, and I was reading threads from other people who have similar problems with the same brand, and it looks like it's going to cost me quite a bit to replace, so it seems that the Ebay money will prove very useful indeed.
Anyway, not going to finish getting all the carp off my bed before getting into it on a negative, so here's to a start to getting rid of stuff I no longer need on Ebay! :TPlease call me 'Pickle'

Horribly so.Although this is my 3rd laptop and I've never had to buy a battery before. I think that the company who make my laptop has made them less good than other brands I've had in order to make customers have to buy more consumables.

we've had problems with our laptop the screen in cracked and when we looked at getting it replaced it was going to be nearly £200 and if we did it ourselves by buying one of ebay it would still be £100, in the end we've just decided to live with it a bit longer and then when we are debt free and a bit more flush with cash we will buy ourselves a whole new laptop so that we've then got two (all-be-it one with a great gash across the middle of the screen).
Total Debt: [STRIKE]£24,359.79[/STRIKE] £16,452
debt reduced by 32%

There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

Laptop screens are REALLY expensive: my mum's last one went and much like yourself it would have cost a fortune to replace, so we attached it to a random big screen lying around and did our best from there, and she has just replaced it with this one, and I'm not best pleased: her version of 'Works' is just a cheap start-up version and they are trying to get you to buy it from them, and they have a screen in the bottom left-hand corner constantly showing advertisements. Disgusting! Had we known, I would have seriously disadvised her from buying it.Please call me 'Pickle'

Am loitering with intent on the Boots website to bag some of their -75% goodies as presents, but it seems that it's not just a quick change of a few price tags at midnight, rather something much more long-winded and complicated so I'm not sure whether or not I'll end up getting anything online as I've got a bed that needs sleeping in. *Yawns*
Other than that, there's not much news. Worked a 10 hour day today, so I didn't get into much trouble as a result.
Have just seen Martin's 'TasteCard' mention in the newsletter. I'm gobsmacked to see that out favourite local restaurant is on it. That could put a serious dent in their profit margins.
Boots website back online, but shopping basket is still at -50%. Hmm...:\Please call me 'Pickle'
