To help you get to grips with your own grand design we have one copy of Grand Designs Self Build & Development to be won and a copy of Renovation & Interiors for six runners up.
Grand Designs 3D allows users to bring ideas to life before seeking professional advice, whether updating an existing home or contemplating a self build project.
The user utilises 2D drawing tools before visualising their ideas in 3D. A database of fixtures and fittings allows each project to be furnished and decorated with rendered images demonstrating the effects of texturing, lighting and even shadows. Finally, the 3D walk through feature allows each project to be examined in close-up detail and provides a genuine impression of moving in to the finished home or room.

Hi, has anyone tried this software? i've seen it on tv, and thought it looks good, but not sure how technical it will be. I want to build an extention, however am in two minds what design to go for. does anyone know if this would be helpful?
