Nice & Easy money off vouchers

I went to Superdrug today. By the hair colour shelves was a rack promoting boxes of 'Nice & easy Root touch-up'.
They are not store specific and expire 18th Aug:06.
They are for 1/2 price off this product.
Silly me .................. didn't check how much they actually cost. The bar code last 4 digits say 2156. I think by what I've read on the site before, this means £2.15???
Haven't tried them in Asda or Tesco yet, but pretty sure they will scan ok.
Keep an eye out for them.

I bought these when they first came out and they DO scan at Tesco.0

I picked some up the other day thinking they weren't store specific but they do say on the 'to the customer' bit that they have to be used in superdrug.. albeit in very tiny writing!!
The normal price is £4.30 and the barcode is as you say ending in the figures 2156 so it looks like they are worth £2.15 each
I thought they looked scannable and I tried to scan one in tesco (not self scan) before I noticed they were store specific and they wouldn't scan.. how disappointed was I?
However, the checkout woman said she thought it wasn't scanning because they didn't sell it. It is a small branch of tesco though- maybe that makes a difference?
Thanks for posting this though cos I forgot to and it might be useful to someone who wants to buy the product. Oh by the way when you use them in Superdrug, they are only valid when you buy any permanent hair colour as well. But I noticed in Boots that the Root touch up is half price on special offer without having to buy the colour.
Hope thats useful for someone0 -
From my experience (and there is a small chance I might be wrongbedshaped wrote:However, the checkout woman said she thought it wasn't scanning because they didn't sell it. It is a small branch of tesco though- maybe that makes a difference?
), all Tesco tills are the same, no matter whether it's a large Extra or a small Metro. Therefore, all vouchers that should scan (because the stuff is sold somewhere), will scan everywhere, IYSWIM.
I know this because my local Metro take vouchers for stuff I'm pretty sure they don't stock, although bigger Tescos do.
(I obviously try not to use the ones I know they don't stock, but sometimes I forget...
Don't know if they'll get their money back for it if they don't stock it
or does the money just go to Tesco in general, not a specific store?
)
Anyhoo, shame about these Nice & Easy vouchers...

No didn't buy the product, took it off my shop.
Just returned from there again (Asda) and the cashier took 3 in one go!
Spent £24.14 and paid £11.84 cash.
