I once planted some sunflower seeds in my garden. It was a hot summer, (remember those?) there were six plants and they were coming up nicely (at about two inches high). I nipped out to the shops for a few minutes and when I got back they had all vanished! I think it must have been the birds - they think the seeds are tasty, so maybe they like to munch the young plants too!
No sunflowers for me though! I hope they enjoyed them! :laugh:0 -

Being on mailing lists puts me off applying for these freebies.
Before I moved house I was innundated with junk mail from having my details passed on to other companies, now I like the fact that no trees are being chopped down to send me details of things I never asked about or need.
Better to buy an envelope as and when you need it rather than re using envelopes that come free and all the extra bumpf that comes with them, it might sound like you're money saving but in the long run it's got to be bad for the environment.

no offence taken - you are entiled to you views
I find your view to be a bit old fashioned and I am happy to receive many thousand items of junk mail a year and indeed I do
I must confess that I have more envelopes than I have use for at the moment - I just keep sending for more Sun Life free pens
The environmental impact is of no interest to me - no offence intended0 -
