What will joe public get is not fully understanding the consequences of using a one lender adviser, which I think we both agree is not good for the consumer.

DEFINATLY! Do you suppose that other brokers or IFA's etc on this forum participate in this or would follow your appreciation of this site and information provided?

It does state...find a broker? Alternatively, is it simply a contact direct to them? I feel we are in this case 'naming & shaming' as it is there to present a false impression, what's your thoughts?

Sorry I am not sure what you are getting at about appreciation of this site? It must be the result of not having to do anything too taxing this weekend.

They may have brokers who work around the country if thats what they are suggesting. I dont know the ins and outs of their operation.

The one thing I would say though is that all the companies that I have mentioned do pray on the people that really need "good" mortgage/financial advice or lack understanding of how these people work.

They all focus on CCJ'S, Self Employed, Defaults, IVA's etc. and make a play for the emotions of these people. You look at the APR's that they quote and they are competing against credit cards. Their adverts all show "normal people" who have had the world lifted off their shoulders. The bad thing is that they honestly do not know they are getting a good or bad deal because they lack this understanding and have nothing to measure it against.

That is just bad practice in my eyes. I see my role as one of helping and advice. Not one of praying on the weak and innocent.
    I am a Mortgage Adviser
