Im not sure if this is an approriate forum for this question but ...
How shoud spinach be stored? I buy a bag from the supermarket, use 1/2 of it and put the rest in the fridge, and the next day its turned into green mush.
Is this the nature of spinach or is there someway of making it last a little longer?
Many thanks,
Andy

Spinach does go off quickly, unfortunately. I tend to store mine in vegetable preservation bags (you can get them from Lakeland, and I think Asda now stocks them, too) - it seems to last a couple of days in these.
I've just frozen some that I wasn't going to be able to eat in time - I poured boiling water over to wilt it, then stuck it in a pot, covered with a bit of water, in the freezer. I hope this will work but I haven't tried it before so I'm not sure yet!

Thanks, I will look for these bags.0

If you are cooking it consider cooking it all at once either on its own or in a dish. Then freeze the extra portion.0
