Right, my Ghostbusters idea didn't work, so my next plan is to dress up as Marty Mcfly. So can anyone help me get the stuff, I'd appreciate it. This is what I'm trying to recreate:



The main thing I'm looking for is the red bodywarmer. There are a lot out there, but I'm trying to find the one that most looks like the film. I think I've got a shirt and denim jacket. A maroon t-shirt would be good too, but I haven't even looked yet.

And if you can find any trainers like this, it would be great.



I'm not that fussed about spending a bit of money on them, because I'll wear them again. But obviously if anyone can find a cheapish pair, it'd be great.

I'm at work atm, so I'll check back later. But I'm size 8/9 shoes, and 36-38" chest (small men's).

not much help on finding the items, but is this for a fancy dress party?

if so, im thinking people will be asking you all the time, who you are, or why you havent dressed up - jeans, denim jacket, trainers and body warmer, could be anyone

Doc would stand out more than Marti, or how about Teenwolf as that would be more distinct, but still casual?

No, it's an 80s themed stag night, so I should get away with it. Considering my mate's going with a hawaiian shirt and a moustache as Magnum P.I. And everyone knows who Marty McFly is surely? But that's why it needs to be pretty accurate, because I don't want to just look like a bloke in jeans and trainers. And I don't wanna go as the Doc, because I don't think I could pull it off. I'm not really old enough.

My fallback option is Indiana Jones atm.

i really think most people wont know who marty mcfly is as he doesnt have a distinct look, other than 80s clothing - they will just think its your normal style, and youre a bit behind in the fashion stakes :rotfl:

Best way to get the shoes is to go to Nike id and specify an exact replica to be made. Costs about £80

my brother went on an 80's theme night with his mate and they all dressed up as the men from top gun in the jump suits with badges on and the aviator sunglasses, singing You've lost that loving feeling to all the pretty girls. that was sooo good!
