New to the site and confused

Thank you to anyone who can give me any advise, I am in a total panic. I was made bankrupt on 14th August, I received an email from solicitors advising me that I did not need to attend court on that date if I did not contest the bankruptcy, so I didn't, especially as time off work is a huge problem. All threads that I have read seem to suggest that everyone attends court, does this sound usual? I then received a letter from the OR scheduling my interview for 28th September and the forms to fill in. But then I immediately received another letter, the Court Order declaring me bankrupt from the court, noting that neither I nor my creditor attended and instructing me to attend the OR's office "immediately after receiving the order". I have tried ringing the OR to see if I need to attend before 28th as well (this in itself is causing me huge concern, as I work full time and I cant take time off). Sorry this is so long and tedious... I have some more questions about my bank account which I haven't closed, but I will save that for later!!...

Don't worry about what it says on the bottom of the letter from the court, it's a standard form that still has that printed on the bottom of it, but very few OR offices operate like that. You have your appointment with the OR on 28/09, that's fine, just attend then.

The people you have seen here who have attended court have petitioned for their own bankruptcy rather than being petitioned by a 3rd party.

BTW, the letter from the court is your Bankruptcy Order, the number at the bottom XX of 2009 is your bankruptcy number you need to quote if any creditors are hassling you.
