I'm confused why would you be calling the child support agency about carers allowance. Are they not two seperate benefits dealt by two different departments?

  • They're supposed to end the carer's allowance when the child reaches 16, but it appears some earlier posters on a similar thread have been told by the CSA that this allowance will be removed at the next reassessment date, which, of course, could be a long time away.

Personally, I would request a reassessment yourself which should bring your case up to date & allow you to pay the correct amount of child support.

It's part of the old CS1 formula.

Knowing the CSA, probably not. They may well say that any changes take place from the date of reassessment. As kelloggs stated, do it asap.
