Sylvanian Familes

Has anyone seen any offers on Sylvanian Families?

I'm starting to think about Christmas for my young daughter 4 &5. They haven't got any of these items yet and am looking to start a collection for them.

I used to love these! Thank you for the memory trip :)

To answer your question... no I haven't seen any offers but they often turn up at carboots near us and sometimes in boxes.

My 6yo is after these for christams  VERY expnsive.

Do you think your 4yo will be old enough? some of the parts are increadably fiddly and small, my 6yo only just has the motor skills to play with the ponyville sets

I've been looking on ebay and toys r us website as they sometimes do deals

I bought some for my daughters birthday in June, she was 5. She finds the small bits a pain and gets stressed when she knocks them over, however the characters and furniture she loves.
I would avoid things like the bakery and sweet shop stall as they are full of tiny bits and go for houses/caravans/tree houses etc.
As for offers - Toys r us recently had a lot of the Sylvanian bits in the bargain bin as the boxes were slightly bashed - worth a look. Other than that its ebay really...... i have seen some at car boot sales but it tends to be the 1990 bits and not normally complete or even clean........ its pot luck though.

Just been looking for these for grandaughter for her birthday and found this site seems to be cheapest and only £1.95 p&p! Search Results : TakeAlongToys.co.uk, We specialize in Take Alongs and ONLY £1.95 postage PER ORDER!
Also some reasonable bits on Play.com Play.com (UK) - Free Delivery - Toys - Search Results: sylvanian

I think these things should come with a wealth warning lol Loved the Take Along Toys website, the selection is the best I have found anywhere. I couldn't believe what sylvanian stuff you could get!! Now £141 poorer :-( Have to admit, a couple of things daughter asked me to get for her for grandaughters birthday to save postage (and knowing my kids probably the cost of the presents too!!) and I have bought for birthday and xmas so thats something else out of the way!

    Good links, thanks!

I think I am going to get her something small to start with then see if she plays with them much as her birthday is at the start of March. Could always add to her collection. She is also into Ponyville, I'd recommend that highly, it is great but a real shame there is not much of it, she owns prety much everything!

Well my order from takealongtoys just arrived and no complaints here! Lowest prices and postage that I found online and they were very efficient, kept me informed and was only a couple of days from ordering to arriving. Cant be bad!
  • On the Boots website they have a few Sylvanian items included in the Christmas 3 for 2 (also free delivery to local store).

    always worth looking in charity
shops on a regular basis as they
get lots of bits and pieces donated
and either bag them up or sell seperatly
great source for the little bits that can either
be quite costly or very hard to fine new.

Toys r Us always have some kind of offer on theirs
in the run up to Christmas instore so worth looking out
    for.
