Sorry more questions, partners BR, but bank still after me for OD

I knew I would have to pay off some / all of overdraft, but.....
OH went BR on 7th August, joint bank account was £382 overdrawn. Bank account wasn't frozen until 21st August, when I got a letter asking me to clear the now £442 overdraft (charges for returned direct debits and reserve account charge! ).
I went into the bank yesterday to sort this as account is due to be closed on the 7th September, so asked if that would be it if I paid the £442 ( mixture of my overdraft and borrowed money ), was told "no, there's another £106 of charges waiting to go on"
Really don't know what to do, someone has suggested that I go in, clear the £442 overdraft and ask them to take my name off the account, so the extra £106 is in my partners name only and included in his bankruptcy, but I'm not sure if this will be allowed as surely they'll say charges are still from when I was a joint name on the account? Or will it land my partner in trouble with OR?
I know in the scheme of things, compared to the other debts we have with the bank, it's a small amount of money, but it's still money we don't have.
Also if you've read so far, sorry to go on
, but partners not heard anymore from OR since phone interview, so I'm still not sure whether that means we get to keep all his wages, he did say we had no surplus income, and that we had under-estimated a lot of things on our SOA! But we haven't heard anything, and he's only now started contacting some of the creditors! Does this sound right, or should I be worried?

You won't be able to take your name of the account now, they already know your OH is BR so the account is your responsibility, no way will they put it in your OH's name. The only thing you can do is pay it all off and try to reclaim the charges.
It's not unusual to hear nothing from the OR and if they said in the interview you didn't haven't got enough surplus for an IPA that's it, you won't get a letter confirming it, although they may send you another questionaire later on.

Thanks peachyprice, think I'll just have to bite the bullet and pay the bank.0

You could try and negotiate with them now regarding the charges that are still to be put on the account. Sometimes it works and is certainly worth a phone call.
