Is there any possible way of 'spicing up' jam.

I was going to make my own for Christmas, but it would cost me a fortune, which I just don't have.

Could I buy Asda's ready made stuff at 24p a jar and add things to it to improve it?

I was hoping to make a Christmassy type jam and I have just received 24 jam jars from freecycle.

    What's in the jam; can you list the ingredients :confused: I'm assuming that it's mainly sugar and water, and not a lot of real fruit for that price. I'm not really sure that you could disguise it to appear home-made.

    Can you find someone who has plums or apples to give you (Freecycle again ;) ) and make your own preserves.
