Nice country pubs in Central Scotland?

I'm looking for country pubs in Central Scotland, particularly in the Lothians and Fife. Somewhere not too noisy, where I can read a book, have a coffee/meal and relax!

Any suggestions please?

The Old Clubhouse in Gullane is nice. The German bakery round the corner is even nice but doesn't do hot meals and gets a bit hectic.

It's just at the Clackmannan/Perth & Kinross/Fife border. Lovely food, friendly atmosphere - iirc log fire in the winter.

The Ship Inn at Limekilns is very nice. I worked in Rosyth for a time and a few colleagues and I used to drop in for a bar lunch. Good prices and excellent food.
