Afternoon peeps - this is a Horace alert..a new improved more motivated Horace is looming large on the horizon thanks to the motivational business seminar today by a jolly nice man.:D It was funny though as I bumped into someone that I know..she looked down her nose at me and said "oh, its you, what are you doing here?" so to bring her down a peg or two in true Horace style - I said that my friend Brad had invited me..to which she said Brad who? and I responded Brad Sugars, the person you have paid to see speak today..she opened and shut her mouth like a goldfish and asked how I knew him so I said that I had known him for about a year and that he was a very good personal friend of mine:rotfl: (Its not a lie, I have been friends with him on facebook for ages and he has helped me enormously) I know that she paid £97 to hear him whereas I paid diddly squat:rotfl: Her face was a picture.
Bloomin' marvellous :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Well done H :T:T:T:T

Evening all...
What I forgot to share though Wol (et al) is that Brad offered everyone in the room the services of one of his action coaches for one hour for free..now I know that my local action coach charges £3000 per session:eek::eek: Anyway I have spoken to her (she's jolly nice) and I am going to join in some group sessions which are cheaper and possibly free:cool:
BNI is being knocked on the head too (it was a BNI woman that spotted me earlier and was snotty:mad:) and instead have been recommended by my 'action coach' to attend 4networking instead - they meet at a later time, you have 3 x 10 minute 1-2-1s during the breakfast meeting and they are not stuffy people either, plus there is none of this having to go to every single meeting nonsense nor is there a limit on the number of businesses that are the same unlike BNI which likes to have one of everything:rolleyes: (actually like the ruddy ark - so therefore a bit like a dinosaur).0 -

We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.
what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?
firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.
The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!
It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis
PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.
Kind wishes

Morning all..my meeting has been postponed until next year as there are no snow technicians to demonstrate snow (they're busy with tv advertisements) so I am home alone:rolleyes:
I was watching breakfast news this morning and they were in Leeds talking about the bin men strike and how waste hasnt been collected for 5 weeks and that the outside contractors that have been employed don't know the streets and so have missed a large proportion of the streets unemptied. I have no idea why they are kicking up a fuss because of equal pay for men and women for equal work - they don't seem to understand that their pay won't actually be reduced in some cases it may increase but in others they may not get a payrise thus allowing those doing similar work to catch up:rolleyes:0 -
