Hi peeps - no snow here (its because I wore my snowboots when I went to the hospital today:D - if I hadnt worn them then it would have snowed).

Nowt wrong with my eyes but as the pressure has gone up slightly in my right then that may have changed the focussing ability - so roll on 22 Feb when I have my eye test. Have spent most of the afternoon vegging out and sleeping on the sofa - I feel exhausted:rolleyes:

Good that yer blinkers are OK Horace..:T..and good for you re vegging ...

I have done nothing today other than
    a) take in hard copy accounts ledger book to accountant :j
    b) ring to postpone today's appointment til tomoz owing to snow
    c) deal with (yet) another DFW referral on the phone from Top Totty - doncha just love DCA's and their tactics ;)..and then talked to me mam :A
    d) empty and re-stack dishwasher :j
    e) hover around doing absolutely [STRIKE]f-all[/STRIKE]l nothing today apart from reading threads on MSE Employment forum ;):D
    f) open a bottle of vino at 6 o clock :D

Sounds like you is having a well-deserved recuperation period after all the excitement/hard work/stress of the last couple of months....sending you
    a) a virtual fluffy dressing gown
    b) loving licks from Beechie boy- at a push he may consent to be [STRIKE]your nominated slipper[/STRIKE] a living foot warmer ;)
    c) Big hugs from me Hun

Hope everyone else is OK and survived the recent weather conditions intact

    DFW rocks!!

    xxxx

It has now officially stopped snowing here :T -settled on the ground but highways have survived....and the 4x4's are tearing down my road with a vengeance . Off to drift around the house (again) doing absolutely nothing.......:D. Tonorrow is another day

I too, like Horace and Wol, have been less productive than usual today, but what the heck, there are plenty of days left in the year for blue-tailed fly syndrome so lie back, get the remains of the Christmas Quality Street out and something a little alcofrolic to lubricate things along and have a good evening!

Thanks for the good wishes Wol - the virtual fleecy dressing gown is fab and although a few licks from Beechie are accepted..a living footwarmer would be better as long as he doesnt wee:eek:

I don't plan on doing much for the rest of the week - I need to pay my water bill though now that they have put me on the single occupier tariff - I only need to pay £2.36, need milk tomorrow too and need to visit the fancy dress shop to buy a turban (don't ask).

Off to see the quack on Friday to see what she can do for me.

Best get back to nosing at the employment and self employment boards.

    Night all xx

Oi Miss!! Have PM'd you.....Keep the faith....

Errrm ....Beechie wants a couple of gurantees before he agrees....(no shaving as he values his lovely fluffy silky coat......:p)...so as long as you are prepared for him to take up residence on your feet (poos and wees regardless :o..and depending upon your shoe size as he can;t guarantee to cover both feet at once  ...but he'll try his best;) ) then he is up for the job :D

Lucky gal -Numpty never had an offer like that :p

I take a 4.5 so have quite small feet but I dont fancy poos and wees on my tootsies. I dont shave either so he will be quite safe - he has been adopted as my virtual pet as my landlord doesnt allow pets, anyway we have enough trouble with Mrs Stinker in the flat below me and her piddling tom cat (this weather cats hold onto their wee and will spray around the house regardless of whether or not they have been housetrained:eek:) - well Mrs Stinker's cat loves to pee - the communal entrance smells of cat wee and most days my flat reeks of it:eek::mad:

Nighty night - I am off to try and get some sleep without nightmares:rolleyes:

    Hi everybody.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

    Morning all ...

they can change the face of the world.
