Afternoon all..found this thread lurking somewhere on page 2.
It has been raining so hopefully all the snow will go:j Am currently working on an opportunity - I have been invited to spend a week in Gran Canaria visiting a wedding planner and attending his wedding, now I have set someone to work on finding me a cheap flight and somewhere cheap to stay - it may be a self catering apartment:eek: You see, I am determined to go - I have never been to Gran Canaria before.0 -
Hi everyone,
Raining here as well, started about an hour ago and snow finally going :j.
Horace - Gran Canaria sounds good, hope you get it sorted. The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

New page, so we better have one of these, I guessHi everybody.
Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.
What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.
If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.
what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?
firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.
The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!
It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis
PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.
Kind wishes
PThe time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Good afternoon, all. Sounds like Horace has her holiday for this year sorted already! Here the big thaw continues. Amazing how at times like this you learn to appreciate the simplest of things.....our bin got emptied today, was missed last week! I think, when the recycling gets done next week (first time since December 10th) I might just wet myself with excitement.....One life - your life - live it!0

My friend who lives in Gosport is excited today having had her bins emptied for the first time since Christmas and the postman has been too - I said that she should get out more:rolleyes:
V. foggy here again but it is thawing like mad:j - I can see greener grass and the private driveway looks a little clearer although the carpark is a sheet of ice.
Talking of post - better go and check my box as I havent ventured downstairs for two days:eek:0 -
I can see grass:eek: the road in my street is still well slippy so not expecting bins getting emptied tomorrow, i should be used to it by know :rotfl:PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBT NERD #869Numpty,Not sure why but I'm crying
