How did you manage to get the wrong train???

Happy you made it home , and it was great to meet you:kisses3:

The hat is on the bookcase:j:j

 Well it was going in the right direction - and I wasn't the only one who got the wrong one .
Very good to meet you :j I'm sure I'll be along to future meets now it turns out there are no axe-murderers on DFW (probably!)

Right I'm off to get things ready for work and to relax and watch a bit of TV (socialising is tiring!:o)

    Night all

Spoon - my washing machine is poorly sick and the repair man is coming out at 10am tomorrow to look at it...so today I have cleared out the pantry and noted that I have run out of value chopped tomatoes...just need to lift the shelf off and sort out my chair (I really need to put it in the shed), and my vacuum cleaner.

Welcome back to Tixy and Numpty.

Tis easy to get on the wrong train..I did that not so long ago:rolleyes:

    Hi to angel and nargle:D

    Hello everyone,
Numpty and Tixy - it is lovely to see you both back, we did miss you and glad you had a good time. If there are definitely no axe murderers on DFW I might just go along to the next one myself (if I'm invited, of course!). And Tixy, yes it's very easy to get on the wrong train, I've done it myself on a number of occasions and no, before anyone asks, I am not blonde!

Horace - oh dear about the washing machine, I really hope the nice repair man manages to fix it tomorrow - what a pain. But I see you've been your usual industrious self today, you put me to shame!

Rog - hope the trundling wasn't too painful today and you've managed to get your new shoes.

Nargle - hope the Christmas preparations are going OK.

Angie - hope you've had a good day.

Lula - hope you've had a good day baking more hobnobs I hope?

Have I forgotten anyone? Really hope not .

Night all, back for more nonsense and reminders tomorrow.

    Hi everybody.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

Time we had another one of these I think.

Morning all ..the repair man has been and gone and I am £19 lighter - he couldnt find a fault with it at all and has come to the conclusion that there was a power surge after the outage that we had on Thursday through to Friday had interrupted the machine somewhat (I never switch it off at the plug because it means removing the pantry shelf and all the stuff from the pantry. Groan..it all has to be put back now:rolleyes:

Hello fellow bumpers, bit of a late first bump for me but been out this morning.

Numpty - how lovely to see your middle of the night "good mornings" again.
Horace - great news about the machine, but not so good about having to put everything back again..
Lula - please can I have some of your happy dust, feeling a bit down in the dumps today and need cheering up.

Oh well, off to do some work now so back later. Hello to everyone else.
