I need abit of help I have stubbonly put my foot down and refuse to go shopping this week after a comment the OH made about nothing to eat when everything is some what brimming.
Well I've decided on my meal plan but made an error I thought I had tinned toms and I don't however I have a tonne of tomatoes that could do with using up.
Now heres my question how do I make tinned tomatoes out of fresh toms. I've goggled but only came up with how to can tomoatoes lol.

Just add them in as you would a tin - well, chopped up a bit first
If you want to skin them, make a little cross in the bottom and drop them into boiling water for a few seconds. They'll peel really easily then0 -
thank you this is what i was thinking but wanted to make sure lol i was also thinking about adding abit of extra stock and tom puree to make the tomato juice as such0

Yep, it'll be fine if you want to add them too - just bung them in and give it a wee taste
Cooking doesn't have to be precise, sometimes your own concoctions turn out nicer than what the recipes advise0 -
thats brill thanks im usually ok with knocking things up but was having abit of a block lol0

I think you can add sugar if you find it a bit acidic. Alternatively, you could roast the tomatoes bringing out their own natural sweetness. Grated carrot is also quite sweet as an addition if necessary.A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men :cool:
