Does anyone know what the sizing is like on Simply Be. If you can tell me if you buy the same size as Evans or if it is big made like Ann Harvey you will be helping me a lot as I have seen some things I would like to order. Also what is their quality like.

Simply Be `s quality is`nt as good as it used to be, nor is Evans , sizing for Evans is a bit hit & miss.Thats my opinion anyway and both pricey, although i buy my bras from Simply Be.
I`ve recently bought from www.yoursclothing.co.uk and find them reasonably priced and sized.0 -
I stopped buying Evans clothes several months ago (weight loss means I dont have to anymore) but I found that, recently, their sizing had become very hit and miss. I know one of the staff in my local store and mentioned it to her and she said that many customers had made the same complaint.
In my experience, Simply Be sizing can also be a bit hit and miss but I usually found their stuff to be cut on the neat side so would usually have ordered one size up from my usual. However, that strategy didn't always work so I often ordered two sizes to try on, and then sent the ones that didn't fit back. Postage is a flat rate regardless of the size of the order and returns are free (just be sure to get a certificate of posting from the PO).
The quality is ok on most of their items. Do check out their clearance site too at www.crazyclearance.co.uk0 -
Thanks for your help, looking for a light weight rain jacket in a dark colour preferably with a hood and not having much luck. Simply be had some jackets in their sale but if I need to take a bigger size I won't be able to get one. The also seem to have similar stock on FiftyPlus. Feel that Evans are overpriced but seem to be one of the places that have what I want.0

Hi. Just thought I'd let you know I just bought a navy rain jacket from New Look for only £20. Goes up to size 26 http://www.newlook.co.uk/1759791/175979141/ProductDetails.aspx0 -
You might get something in TKMaxx, I've had bigger sizes in there, prices do vary wildly though depending on the make. Or if you want something that really is a decent waterproof try some of the climbing shops like Blacks or Millets or Mountain Warehouse, the lighter weight raincoats may go into sale or be reduced as they will start getting their heavier weight jackets in for winter/ski season. Not sure about the sizes, I actually ended up getting myself blokes cropped lightweight trousers in my local Tresspass store sale as the ladies ones were too wee and too low at the waist. They are fine and comfy and nobody knows they are mens...well they didn't til now!
If its a dressier type of jacket you are looking for then perhaps M&S, I'm maybe thinking too practically at waterproof jackets!!!0 -
I buy my usual dress size and have no problems with things fitting. I have bought some really good priced coats from there before, named labels are ok quality, but their own brand can vary in quality.
Is it just me or are the clothes in Evans terrible these days? Nothing that I would consider either flattering or rometly fashionable! and not very money saving.Debt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.0 -
I have often bought Simply Be items hugely reduced in price from crazyclearance, like all catalogues/shops that sell from a range of different manufacturers clothing can vary quite a bit in fit. I bought 3 skirts from bargaincrazy in the last 2 weeks, one was perfect, one a little smaller but still ok and the other very big. One cost £5 and two were £6, all were around £20-£25 to start with. I also bought a jacket and a trench coat, in two different sizes but both are a good fit, just different manufacturers. One at £5 reduced from £35 and the other £15 reduced from £45.0
