good evening
I have posted on the reclaiming boards and no one has been able to answer so Im hoping someone here can answer the question below -
just wondering if I can claim back the following charges from my mortgage which were added before I sold my property and paid off the mortgage. I was in financial difficulty and in the process of moving in with my now husband.
1. sundries
2. Arrears charges
3. Solicitor instruction fee
4.Application fee
5. Payment option fee
6. returned direct debit fee
7. debt counselling fee
8 legal fees
omg, think they make them up as they go along!!
hope someone can help.

Looks to me like you were considerably in arrears, and I doubt very much if you will be in a position to claim any of those charges back, as there would have been choices along the way, payment arrangments etc looking at the list there it would appear that arrangements either weren't made or weren't maintained because otherwise there wouldn't have continued to be fees applied.I am a Mortgage Adviser
