Comping Karma?-first MSE win!!!

Today I received a call from a very nice man at Strongbow informing me I was a first prize winner!!!!! Is this an example of comping karma in action or is it just a coincidence that I win big after starting to post comps on the forum?

I started comping in April this year and, although a 'lightweight' averaging 1000 a month, I won a few small things.
In June I became a member of MSE but I never posted due to the fear of making a mistake and incurring the wrath of the seasoned compers :mad:. I watched and learned and after a thorough reading of the comping guide, together with overwhelming feelings of guilt for not contributing, I posted my first thread last Saturday. Since then the number of competitions I enter has reduced drastically, my studies have suffered and I haven't vacuumed in a week!!! My comping habit has been replaced by an obsession to find and post new comps (together with a disturbing fascination with smilies!)

Thank you Ami75 for the original Strongbow thread and thanks to everyone who takes the time to post.

P. S Any advice on how find a balance between posting threads, entering comps, eating, sleeping and vacuuming would be much appreciated.

Hopefully you can win a competition for a cleaner for a year (and yes, they do come along) then you won't have to worry. Congratulations on your win.

Well done, misslinda! I've seen your posts and am very grateful to you for finding all those comps! Glad you have won something good.

My advice - ignore the cleaning and stay up later (that's what I do!).

know exactley what you mean have to go like the clappers to catch up entering comps when been posting them, think it goes for a lot of us on here, so all advice would be welcome :eek::D
