Reasons for going BR.,
I have always maintained a certain level of credit that I have used to purchase items I would otherwise have had to save for. I was able to comfortably manage my monthly payments.
In January 2004 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I subsequently underwent surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy and was unable to work. I am thankfully now in remisson.
I returned to work in Novemeber 2004, although I worked less hours due to my illness. This impacted on my overall income and I struggled to make payments to creditors. In November 2004 my husband and I moved into a rented house through a local Housing Association. For years we had rented privately, therefore did not have a ot of furniture of our own. We had to buy white goods, along with furniture and furnishings for the house. to meet these expenses I availed to credit. My liabilities gradually began to increase,. Then my husbands ex-wife made a claim through the CSA. This meant my husband and I had to pay nearly £500 a month in child mainyenance.
I now suffer anxiety and depression as a result of my cancer, and there have been times when I have been unable to work and have only recieved SSP.
Realising I needed to come to an arrangement to repay my creditors, I sought asvice from CAB in 2007. They advised me to nter into a DMP, which I did. However not all of my creditors were willing to cease iinterest and charges.
I then entered into a DMP with Payplan, but as it would take in excess of ten years to repay my debts in full, I did not see this as a long term solution.
I then sought advice from CCCS in une 2008. They advised me of the options open to me, and I decided to propse an IVA to my creditors, this was accepted on 3 September 2008.....unforunatley the CSA decided to substatially increase my husbands payments in January 2009 to incoporate arrears.
I sought a variation on my IVA wich was accepted in April 2009, then one of my non-dependemts , who's contributions were included in IVA moved out.
I am therefore unable to pay any further monies into the arrangement. After further discussion with CCCS it was decided that Bankruptcy was my only option.
I regret the position in which I have now found myself.
Could some edit this into a suitable/acceptabe format for my BR form please.

Ok it would appear from feedback on here that OR's like to see dates and amounts in this statement so would suggest you add some where you can or when i have suggested. Hope you don't mind but i have cut a couple of things out as they could be seen by the OR that you knowingly took on extra debt!DxFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

I think you need to put it but not sure you should add that taking ten years to clear your debt was reason enough to opt for bc. Maybe say "you could not sustain it for the length of time it would take to clear":DFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau
