I have credit card debt, will I be able to get a mortgage?

I'm fed up with paying wapping big sums in rent every week and would rather contribute this money to a mortgage. Unfortunately rather than have a deposit to place on a house., I have a reasonable sized CC debt I am finding it difficult to reduce.
Is their any hope?, myself and my partner earn reasonable salaries, but I personally am having trouble shifting my debt. It's maneagable, but seemingly 'unmoveable' right now.
I have seen some ads for new builds, with deposit paid by the property developer as a loan? Would this be an option?
thanks in advance

You would still need a deposit of your own.
I would suggest having a looking on the debt free wannabe for advice on getting rid of your reasonable sized cc debt before you look at buying.I am a Mortgage Adviser

It will take me some time to pay off my debt, possibly years. In that time I will be spending 10's of thousands on rent. If there is a way to get on the housing ladder sooner rather than later, I'm keen to learn of it, as it will also help me pay the debt of more quickly also.
My partner is not in debt, and so contemplating that she purchase the house and I 'pay her rent'. We re due to be married in the next 6 months, does this change things financially for us when we do get married, would my partner then have the debt associated with her also?0
