Another day at home due to the snow today :-( Went to Ikea and got a few sale bargains just to perk up the home...only spent £10 and got my free cup of cofeee with my Family card!
Also went swimming to the local swimming baths and did 25 lengths. £3.80 seems quite pricey for a 30 min swim! I got the bus to the library yesterday and it was £2 each way - only went a mile down the hill. Worth it as a i got a stack of brand new books to read (is no-one interested in the life of Dickens?)...
God I'm sick of this freezing weather and dark, depressing nights. Bring on the summer so I can get my BBQ out!!:rotfl:
P.S Looking forward to my Easter holiday - making full use of MIL's timeshare in Tenerife...a 5 *holiday in the sun for £180!!!

Yes the rain has washed the horrible icey snow away and my bulbs are poking out of the ground. So happy, got on my wifit scales and i've lost 3 pounds this week. Celebrated by doing 20 minutes of hoola hooping! (then spent £18 a co-op booooooo).
Need to loose a stone for my holiday in 11 weeks.0 -
great stuff
- I need to lose several stone too, diet started (again) today - so far so good,
I love my garden but its pure clay so snow has gone puddles have returned! Ive got some raised beds (bit of an allotment going on) down the bottom and my garlic and onions seem to have survived the snow, just hoping they survive the wet too -its my 1st year of veggies so don't know how they will survive yet and I need my waders to go and recue them!

Feeling grumpy...
- minus £10 in my bank
- garden wall has collapsed with the frost
- no money to decorate the house
- no money to go holiday clothes shopping
Good news is I've got some job interviews, hubby got some job interviews and by September we won't be quite so skint...0 -
:wave:Hi JP, hows it going? things picking up at all? cgxCC Debt: Jan 10 £21,660 now £8,170 hurrah!0

Update!
Hi CG. I've recently found out that I'm expecting my first baby in September!
So bye bye first teaching job, and it will be a struggle financially (another year of being skint!) but we will enjoy it all I am sure. I'll be aiming to get a job next spring and put baby in with a child-minder (perhaps part-time?).
Luckily we have almost paid off our credit card - now £1500 and we are going to sell the BMW and get a little cheap runabout so we can pay the car loan off.
Update you all soon!
P.S Any mums to-be out there? x0 -
