I was so good this morning.
I dragged out my BM and cleaned it up - first time out since I moved 2 years ago!
Put a plug on it - not sure why I took it off in the first place! (gingerly switched it on even though I knew the wires were right!)
found the instruction manual online
Ingredients in.......going merrily.......my electric went off with 50 minutes to go
I thought it was a power cut and it was nearly 10 minutes before I sussed that it wasn't , as I went outside and could hear the neighbour's tumble drier working .
Dragged out the TV stand to get to the box and something had tripped the power off. Only things on were the PC and the breadmaker.
Pwer back on and the BM remembered where it had got to and carried on.....it's just beeped though and the middle is sunken
I guess the 10 or so minutes might have mucked it up - I'd peeped in the viewer not long before and it was all nice and risen......
Still don't know what made the power go off though , but I might have to do another loaf if this one is awful - maybe I'll stick the BM back in the cupboard for another two years !!

You must have a more sophisticated BM than me - when our power went off the BM didn't start up again when it came back on. I had to take it out, worked out where the bread had got to and finished it off the old fashioned way!:rotfl:"all endings are also beginnings. We just don't know it at the time..."0

I didn't realise it would be that clever to be honest!
I was running around the house chaotically trying to work out what had happened going 'oh no, my bread, my bread!!!!'............good job I was on my own!!
It had sunk, but tastes ok - a little bit 'cakey' in texture, and the edges are very crusty but I remember it being like that when I used it last time (over two years ago!)
I'm going to chop it into huge chunks to have with the shepherds pie, so the sunken bit will be disguised!!!"Stay Wonky":D
