I'm a bit late on to this thread as you're all sorted for kit now Carolbee (hey you are never too old when there's an excuse to buy a new bag imo :rotfl:), but just to say that you can get bargains at TK Maxx if you want shorts, leggings or tshirts.
I've never found a cheap sportsbra that was any good for real workouts, nor trainers.... anyone?0 -

No, I do think it is worth spending not scrimping on this - need them to stay as pert (well sort of) for as long as possible.....:rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Save your money and invest in a decent pair of trainers. Personally I prefer Asics. Don't underestimate the support a decent trainer can give you.0

I am a physio and would definitely agree with all the people who said get good trainers. People who buy bad or ill fitting trainers turn up to see us in a few weeks
. Asics are fantastic and are the only trainers I wear personally, but Brooks and New Balance are usually OK (I have nothing good to say about Nike).
Good sports bras are worth the investment too for sure.
In terms of clothing, it depends what you want to do - I always buy trousers with drawstrings because the elastic-y type ones tend to fall down when I run - very embarrassing having to hold your waist while you run! If I am not running that day they are fine though.0 -
Elliegray has a sale on at the moment. Got some great trousers for £10 reduced from £35!!!0
