is this sewing machine a good deal?

seen this for £100, wondered if it was worth a look so i can make some home furnishings and clothes...

To be honest I would not spend £149 on that one unless you need the fancy stitches.

Basic machines normally come with variable stitch length, buttonhole and the suchlike - have a look in your local Lidl if you have one, they are doing a perfectly good "Singer" machine for around £80 at the moment, or hang on until Tesco have the one they have for about £40 sometimes!

Of course, if you want fancy stitches then that is different.

I make clothes and curtains and my old machine finally collapsed after about 20 yeard, I replaced it with a cheap one from Lidl and it is perfectly alright for basic use.

dont need fancy stitches, just wanted button hole bit , zig zag and straight stitches, i do sew heavy material such as denim and suede, had an hand use singer had a motor fitted but this has burned out now ;-(... thanks will look at lidl
