If you want a classic car, that is cheap to run (and mend) goes forever, then what about a lovely old Beetle?
You could, in fact get a fully restored, top notch, full of mod cons, NoS kitted out race Beetle for LESS than your budget
And as for turning heads, I get comments every time I'm in my Bug...even at the petrol station the other day, filling up, the guy at the next pump just kept saying "but that car, it's just....it's just beautiful...wow"
