the £12 rooms ive booked are all flexible rate, so that means you can cancel them if you cant go - which is good, as ive just noticed, ive only booked the room for one adult - why does it always default to that, even if you have searched for rooms for 2 people

Are you sure they are flexi rate? Mine aren't and I've checked a few others. It says they are saver rate (non refundable)?"fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." (Bertrand Russell)0 -

yep, def flexible rate, as i too was thinking they never do that with sale rooms
but for some reason, the ones i booked werent showing up with the Yellow sale banner, they were just blue boxes (as though they werent sale rooms)

ive done the same thing, not sure it matters tho as per room not per person, ill just let them know when i check in! theres 2 of us
but i wanted to book breakfast for two people though, so if i want the discount, have to do it before check-in time
however, as they are flexible rate rooms, not sale ones, i can actually change the number of people/breakfast required, so i havent had to cancel, just amend the booking - ive never been able to amend breakfasts on sale rooms before, you have to cancel and rebook

just checked again, try yourself - Norwich Central Riverside is showing sale rooms for £19 in april, but when you click through, you can book a flexible rate room for £12
go figure!

I don't understand how you all managed to find them.
I was on at 6 am this morning and went through all the dates for London hotels and also Wales hotels and couldn't see a single night for £12?0 -

well im searching now, and its brought up loads of £12 dates
how are you searching
easiest way is to go into the Sale page, and then just enter the town you want, it then brings up a page listing 10 TL in that area, and prices for each day of the week - starting from 1st january 2010 - then you can just click though the dates, page by page until you find something for £12 - however the first page you click is showing Liverpool street for £12 on 3rd january, so its still quite easy to find something

Just had a look and Liverpool street on the 3rd jan just shows a blank white box, like no rooms are available. This is weird.0

perhaps your PC is a bit skewy - have you tried clicking it?
this far in advance, all hotels are available, its just the price that varies - theres no such thing as a blank box, it would just show a higher price for that date

Nightmare, just tried clicking on it and it takes me through and the room is £12, for some reason the sale rooms aren't showing up, just look like white empty boxes on my pc. Thanks anyway, at least i can find them now.0
