Dell Finance
Hi,
I've done something silly - baught a PC with Dell (£400 quid Easter Weekend special!). Anyhow, took out thier finance offer, not sure of the APR (I know...I'm stupid). They take monthly payment by Direct Debit, but if I wanted to pay more every so often, could I? And would I be charged? Is this common for a loan?
Also, I may be getting a credit card soon with a lower APR, how could I transfer the debt from them to the card. I bet they don't let you pay it off with a credit card.
Thanks

Hi I phoned them up to ask about paying more but they wouldn't let me - not very good considering. Just make sure you pay it asap before the 0%int period runs out!BenH2 wrote:Hi,

There's no zero percent on mine, its 18% APR from the outset and is for 36 months. Kind of don't want it handing round my neck that long. So, they wont accept payments on credit cards?0

I can't answer your question about paying more or settling early. You have the T&C's in front of you - what do they say?BenH2 wrote:So, they wont accept payments on credit cards?
With regard to credit cards, you'll need a card offering 'Super Balance Transfers' (SBT's).0 -
I too purchased a Dell Computor, and am suppose to repay £38.43 per month but I'm terrible with direct debt dates, so I cancelled the DD and send them a cheque of atleast £50 per month to clear this debt, I have £400 to go and am going to repay it by mid July 06 when it's supopse to go to March 07, they haven't said anything to me. I doubt they'll have a problem with it and I'd be glad when it's cleared so I can focus on my other debts."I AM THE GATEKEEPER OF MY OWN DESTINY" Nacho Libre
